anger and aggression

Information on anger and aggression

  • Video game and social media addiction can cause a brainwave dysfunction, which increases anger and aggression.
  • Prolonged stress from work, trauma, or even video game and social media addiction can alter brainwave activity.
  • Acute stress becomes chronic when it lasts too long.  This increases brainwaves that cause aggression and agitation.
  • These brainwave changes can trigger inappropriate emotional reactions to everyday, normal interactions.

Neurofeedback and Anger Control Research

The results of this study in Journal of Neurotherapy indicate that EEG guided neurofeedback can markedly improve anger control and reduce angry outbursts.  The success rate is substantially higher than previously published studies using cognitive behavioral therapy or anticonvulsant therapy.
